The studies of Ysaora Thibus, French fencing champion
Ysaora Thibus has a good academic career. Born in 1991, she left Guadeloupe, at just 17 years old, to move to Aix-en-Provence and practice her art. She will have her baccalaureate S, with honors. She obtained a degree in economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2012. She then followed the ESPEME program at EDHEC remotely, before joining the Grande École Program at ESCP.
Ysaora Thibus made the choice not to sacrifice her studies for the benefit of her sport. Indeed, while she was preparing for the Rio Olympics in 2016, she was simultaneously writing her dissertation for ESCP. His desire to continue his studies will even be rewarded! In 2013, she will receive the Bernard Destremau prize from the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. It rewards high-level athletes who pursue higher education studies.
The impressive sporting journey of Ysaora Thibus
Ysaora Thibus managed to successfully complete her studies alongside a sporting career with an impressive track record. Indeed, she was crowned French foil fencing champion, individually, in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019! She also finished third at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 world championships. Today, she is ranked 9e on the international scene.
At the same time, she has also been involved with the French fencing team since 2009. In team foil, she ranks 4e at the London Olympics in 2012 and reached third place at the 2012 and 2013 European Championships and the 2013 World Championships. In 2014, she won the silver medal at these two competitions. It was therefore at the Tokyo Olympics that the consecration arrived for the young ESCP graduate who won silver in team foil.

The sporting journey of Anita Blaze and Pauline Ranvier
Anita Blaze was born in 1991. She also practices foil individually and in teams. She has never won a gold medal until now, but still has a good track record in fencing. She came third at the 2013 World Military Games and won silver at the European Championships, team foil, in 2012 and 2013 and the 2013 Worlds.
Pauline Ranvier was also born in 1991. She joined the French fencing team in 2015 and practices foil individually or in teams, like her colleagues. She has no reason to be ashamed of her success since she placed second at the military world championships in Wuhan in 2019. She will also obtain bronze at the world fencing championships, in team foil, in 2015, 2016 and 2018 In 2019, she will even display a silver medal.
