Prisca Thevenot, a politician involved with La République en Marche since 2020, has just been appointed Secretary of State for Youth and Universal National Service. She is therefore directly attached to two ministers: the Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, and the Minister of National Education and Youth, Gabriel Attal.

Where is Prisca Thevenot from? The new Secretary of State for Youth and SNU was born on 1er March 1985 in Strasbourg. His parents come from Mauritius and arrived in France fifteen years earlier. It was in Alsace that they decided to settle and have their daughter who they would ultimately raise in the Paris region.
Indeed, in 1987, Prisca Thevenot moved near Paris and it was in this central area that she completed her schooling. It will also grow around Meudon and Chaville, an area that it will represent during the 2022 legislative elections.
The studies of the new Secretary of State for Youth and the SNU
After obtaining her baccalaureate, Prisca Thevenot decided to join a preparatory class for the economic and commercial Grandes Écoles, the one which allows you to join a business school. It was at the Lycée Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague that she prepared for business school competitions, before joining emlyon.
Prisca Thevenot will therefore train at the Lyon business school. During her studies, she completed several internships: as an industrial marketing assistant at Veolia Water in 2006, at EY as an auditor from 2007 to 2008 and at Korda & Partners as a consultant. It is also in this world of consulting that she will begin her career. She will graduate from Emlyon in 2009.
Consulting and entrepreneurship at the heart of Prisca Thevenot’s career
As mentioned, Prisca Thevenot began her career at BearingPoint, as a consultant. She specializes in the world of telecommunications and media, working in particular with Orange and Agence France Presse. She was also an account manager at Webhelp for a year.
In 2017, a new page in the career of the new Secretary of State for Youth and the SNU. In fact, she is launching into entrepreneurship with Beauty@Home. This startup was a Doctolib of beauty and well-being. It allowed you to make an appointment with any professional (hairdresser, nails, hair removal, etc.) and to select them according to their availability, location and prices.
If the Beauty@Home adventure ends in May 2022 for Prisca Thevenot, she continues in entrepreneurship with CIVIL IMPACT in 2018. It is an incubator dedicated to committed projects. The establishment describes itself as “ a school of commitment whose mission is to bring out the new generation of citizen leaders “.
Prisca Thevenot: a political commitment that takes her to the ministry
The first foundations of Prisca Thevenot’s political commitment were laid in 2017, when she ran in the legislative elections of the 4e constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis. In 2020, Prisca Thevenot became spokesperson for En Marche, the party which has now become Renaissance. She will live fully from her political commitment since she will become regional councilor for Île de France in 2021, before being appointed to the National Assembly as a deputy for Hauts-de-Seine. It represents the 8econstituency of the department: Meudon, Chaville, Marnes-la-Coquette, Sèvres, Vaucresson and Ville d’Avray.
In just a few years, things are accelerating for Prisca Thevenot. She will join the Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, then be appointed Secretary of State in charge of Youth and Universal National Service only a few months after her debut as a deputy. Today, she will have to carry the voice of a youth who has the impression of no longer being listened to.
