The Mines-Télécom institute is launching its own entrepreneurial competition. Its objective is simple, to contribute and encourage the emergence of the deepTechs of the future. Thus, 25 impact projects will be rewarded and supported free of charge in one of the 11 IMT school incubators. The competition takes place at the beginning of July. For projects that have the opportunity to be selected, integration into the incubators will take place at the beginning of September.
Up to start by IMT: a competition around 4 major themes
For this entrepreneurship competition, the IMT obviously wants to attract startups that bring the most promising entrepreneurial projects. Thus, the competition is aimed at young startups in the creation phase or created for less than a year, but especially those who contribute to the following themes:
- Responsible industry of the future
- Digital sovereignty and sobriety
- Health and well-being engineering
- Energy circular economy and society
Themes in line with the strategic positioning of the IMT. The 25 winning projects will receive 360° support, offered by the IMT school incubators. More than allowing entrepreneurs to benefit from the scientific and technical expertise of the IMT group’s school laboratories, the selected projects will also have the opportunity to benefit from the experience and advice of former incubated entrepreneurs.
IMT, the first public academic national incubator network
IMT aims to contribute to innovation and entrepreneurship in the service of France. To do this, the IMT is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. With its experience, the national network of incubators has truly established itself in the Tech and innovation landscape. As proof, each year, nearly 120 innovative and growth-enhancing projects are supported by IMT.
The Institut Mines-Télécom benefits from 11 incubation sites, located in 6 regions of France. Each incubator is supported by at least one IMT engineering or management school. Thus, we find incubators in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in Brittany, in Hauts-de-France, in Occitanie, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, or even in the Pays de la Loire and obviously in Île- from-France.
Why try your luck in an IMT incubator?
The complementarity of IMT brings a varied range of expertise. Thus, candidates will be welcomed into the incubator benefiting from know-how and specific experience in line with the areas of activity of their projects. Each incubator has its own specialties, like Télécom SudParis & IMT BS in digital or IMT Nord Europe in energy, sustainable development and the digital system.
IMT offers a comprehensive five-step support package for entrepreneurial projects:
- Accommodation and advice
- Bootstrapping and R&D
- Testing and prototyping
- Connections
- Access to financing and services
