Leïla graduated from Audencia, class of 2017. After her studies, she chose the agri-food and international industry. It was in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, that she decided to settle down to start her career. She talks about her daily life in the heart of this metropolis.
For her studies, Leïla opted for a business school. She trained at Audencia. She will graduate in 2017. During her studies, she completed a first internship abroad, in Taiwan. She will admit that it was this experience that made her want to start her career internationally.
Leïla’s journey to Dubai
It was thanks to the offer of a small agency that Leïla was able to settle down in Dubai. She stayed there for a year, an interesting experience which allowed her “ to clear the Middle East zone “. Her partner, also a graduate of Audencia, also had the opportunity to join this Emirati metropolis where he works in the world of finance.
His move was also made easier by the community from Audencia which is very present internationally. His contacts with other graduates of the school facilitated his installation and his job search, both during his studies and after obtaining his diploma.
A year after moving to Dubai, Leïla joined Danone as Business Development Manager, a company she had already known during her gap year at Audencia. The young graduate explains that, in her case, this professional experience abroad allowed her to quickly take on positions of responsibility.
Dubai, a world city with a lot to offer
Leïla opens up about her daily life in Dubai, explaining that what she likes about this city is that it is a real hub where different communities meet. When it comes to the cost of living, this Audencia graduate breaks preconceived ideas. She indicates that this city is not as expensive as you might think. If rents are high, it is also because the buildings offer very attractive infrastructure for tenants: swimming pool, gym, etc.
