Superindep, the French startup which aims to automate the administrative management of self-employed people, recently raised one million euros in funding. We spoke with Émilien Pecoul, co-founder of this startup, to learn more about Superindep’s upcoming projects.
Everything you need to know about Superindep
Who are you ?
I’m a freelance dev who went through administrative hell, like many of us! So in 2016 with other freelancers (Clement Bouillier and Florent Pellet), we launched the association HackYourJob whose goal is to help Tech employees become freelance.
In 2018, we said to ourselves that we should go further by offering a SaaS service capable of detecting, anticipating and resolving administrative problems. In 2021, we focused on solving this problem only for self-employed people, to start with Superindep.fr
The project is taking off very strongly and, in 2022, we recruited 6 people and completed a €1M fundraising effort in December. We are already avoiding administrative hell for more than a thousand self-employed people and we don’t intend to stop there!
What does Superindep do?
Superindep automates the administrative management of self-employed people and anticipates the anomalies that may arise. With a unique real-time synchronization system with social organizations, we are able to proactively manage exchanges with them.
In one year we avoided 80,000 euros in cumulative URSSAF and VAT increases, facilitated and automated URSSAF and VAT declarations, regularized VAT for those who had exceeded the thresholds, helped with the creation of their microenterprise structure, informed of all the irregularities in their URSSAF and tax situations (VAT, CFE), provided support and advice for their questions.

Why did you raise one million euros?
We want to double the workforce, support 2,500 customers and reach 600,000 euros in turnover in 2023.
Why did you choose to include Side Capital in your capital?
Renaud Guilerm, who manages the fund, is an entrepreneur himself. This changes everything in the relationship we have with him. He is very pragmatic and relevant in his advice, beyond the financial, to help us succeed.
What will Superindep look like in 5 years?
We will be an essential player for freelancers who want to relieve themselves of administrative headaches.
