Domitys is a company specializing in personal services and more particularly in the construction and management of residences for seniors in France. Since 2017, the company has launched an initiative called Generations Part’ages which allows students to stay for free in one of the group’s residences.
Accommodation for free in a Domitys residence: how to do it?
If Domitys allows you to find accommodation, without having to pay rent, the initiative Generations Part’ages comes with a reward: you have to give your time. The objective is not only to help students in need with accommodation, but also to create intergenerational exchanges between seniors and new generations.
Domitys allows students to benefit from a fully equipped 35m² apartment, with the possibility of accessing common areas: swimming pool, gym, multimedia lounge, etc. In return, students commit to donating 15 hours of their time each week in order to support the elderly present in the residences in their activities or even to share their meals.
Over the past 6 years, nearly fifty students have benefited from the system Generations Part’ages by Domitys. Among them we find Gabin Ollivier who speaks of a very enriching experience: “ I have excellent memories of these 7 months spent at the Domitys residence in Perros-Guirec. The “Générations Part’ages” project allowed me to learn a lot, particularly about relationships with seniors. From walks on the pink granite coast to evenings and home help, this experience allowed me to develop my skills as a facilitator, but I also had the opportunity to discover other professions. , thus learning a lot about life in a company. »
