The French startup Solumatic, which develops software for winegrowers and all alcohol professionals, recently announced that it had raised one million euros in funds. We spoke with Teddy Pereira, Co-founder and Sales and Marketing Director of Solumatic, to discover his journey, this startup and these ambitions!
Everything you need to know about Solumatic
Who are you ?
I’m Teddy Pereira, co-founder and DCM of Solumatic. I come from the world of commerce, with a professional commerce license under my belt and several years of experience in various professions, almost all of them commercial, particularly in music. We set up Solumatic in 2014 with Thomas Petit. Sébastien Beaurepaire joined us in 2015 as a partner and, today, we have 23 employees. We can say that our trio today is very complementary and has made it possible to get here.
What does Solumatic do?
At Solumatic, we develop software for winegrowers and all alcohol professionals in the broad sense. We are committed to providing the best possible software experience to our users.
Ergonomics is at the center of this commitment. We do everything in our power to make using the software both enjoyable and efficient. We strive to ensure that the user experience is smooth and intuitive, taking care of all aspects involved, from development to maintenance. We also provide personalized support and training, so users can get the most out of the software.
In addition, we give our users the opportunity to use their own data for statistical purposes. This allows them to further customize the software according to their needs, making the overall user experience even more enjoyable. In short, usability is a priority for us and we strive to ensure that our users have a pleasant experience every time they use our software.
Solumatic’s fundraising
Why did you raise one million euros?
This fundraising will be the cornerstone of our development, allowing us to move forward with our commitments. It will also allow us to put together the ideal team to bring our ambitious projects to life. This is a major step towards realizing our ideas and projects, and we foresee many previously unattainable opportunities.
We can’t wait to see what this next chapter in Solumatic’s history has in store. We are grateful to everyone who made this fundraiser possible and who believed in us.
Why did you choose to include Loire-Centre Capital in your capital?
The Loire-Centre Capital team was kind throughout the preparation and audit time before signing with us. The planets aligned according to each person’s prerogatives. We have the same vision of the sequence of events. We can say that we have one more colleague in our team. Loire Center Capital is a subsidiary of Caisse d’Epargne with which we already had a partnership as part of its dedicated product: Vitibanque.
What will Solumatic look like in 5 years?
We will work to ensure that Solumatic becomes a key player and even leader in the wine and spirits market.
Despite the fact that the market is niche, we have a lot of market share to conquer and a lot of features to implement.
