The French startup Qeeps, which simplifies its administrative procedures and optimizes its rental management, has just announced it is raising funds of 500,000 euros. We spoke with Simon Vidal, co-founder of Qeeps, he enlightened us on the upcoming projects of this startup.

Who are you ?

My name is Simon Vidal, I am 30 years old and I am co-founder of Qeeps. I studied law and political science, then I went to business school. Then, I worked as a salesperson in a company that did crowdfunding in real estate, then as an investment banker in the TMT sector. Before starting Qeeps, I was a startup consultant, specializing in fundraising and investment topics.

What does Qeeps do?

Qeeps’ mission is to automate and centralize the entire rental process, both for a real estate professional and for a candidate tenant. Today, our achievements are:

Why did you raise 500,000 euros?

Accelerate our development by expanding the team, in order to position ourselves as a leader in our market. The objective is to recruit for key positions (Sales, Product, Tech), to have around fifteen employees by the end of 2023. But also to multiply our current number of customers by 20 (around thirty) and to count more than 100,000 tenant candidates within 12 months.

Why did you choose to bring business angels into your capital?

To have several levers to operate, with people in the trade but not only. Business angels give us endless possibilities: we have real estate specialists, sales, product, marketing specialists, etc. In addition, we have formed a board, which allows us to be challenged regularly on our business, our execution and our vision.

What will Qeeps look like in 5 years?

Within five years, Qeeps will be THE benchmark productivity solution for real estate professionals and prospective tenants. We noticed that today, no interface centralizes the candidate processes: the applications submitted for this or that property, the status of the application (accepted, rejected). No interface allows a file to be shared centrally: even if the processes are dematerialized, a file must still be submitted for each application. So, our ideal vision for the candidate tenant would be to offer a unique solution which would be the faithful companion of future tenants in their rental experiences.
