Oreegami signs a fundraising of four million euros

The French startup Oreegami supports job seekers in careers related to the digital marketing and online advertising sector. It tends to form the elite of digital marketing and data. To do this, Oreegami recently announced that it would raise funds of four million euros. We spoke with Yann Gabay, the founder of Oreegami and he enlightened us on the upcoming projects of his startup.

Everything you need to know about Oreegami

Who are you ?

I am Yann Gabay, the founder of Oreegami. I worked for almost 20 years in a digital agency and media agency. I was able, among other things, to manage Performics, the digital media agency of the Publicis group, for 4 years as well as Netbooster, an independent agency of 600 people in Europe, for 5 years.

This journey allowed me to see that recruitment in this sector has always been a problem for both companies and candidates. In fact, these profiles are always recruited from the same schools, with sometimes inadequate training and significant gaps between the company’s offer and the candidates’ expectations. Furthermore, this state of affairs contributes to the problem of diversity of profiles in these companies.

What does Oreegami do?

For 5 years, we have been supporting job seekers from all backgrounds towards high value-added professions in digital marketing and online advertising. We train people with very heterogeneous levels, from baccalaureate to bac+5, from all backgrounds. Our selection process is 100% based on the human and cognitive qualities of individuals, tested by a system designed and developed by neuroscience researchers.

To date, we have already supported more than 1,000 people in 6 cities in France.

Why did you raise four million euros?

Our objective is to be able to invest in our deployment to maximize our impact:

  • develop activity in cities where we are already present;
  • install new zones (in less urbanized areas);
  • develop new business verticals, to adapt more to the demand from companies and candidates.

Why did you choose to include IXO in your capital?

We met many investors, but IXO appeared to be the one with a real partner position. Their knowledge of the world of education and their heritage approach were a plus in our choice.

What will Oreegami look like in 5 years?

The best digital marketing school in the world, present in many territories in France and abroad, with new verticals around data and agility as well. We hope to achieve this thanks to a unique model of human support for learners and constantly renewed teaching methods. The integration of generative artificial intelligence into our career paths opens up incredible prospects for innovation; this is a particularly exciting time.
