MakeMyMask is a French startup that aims to provide concrete solutions to different hair needs through tailor-made care designed using plants. The young company has just announced that it is raising funds of one million euros. We spoke with Camille Lacroix, co-founder of MakeMyMask and she enlightened us on her journey and her projects.

Who are you ?
We are 2 co-founders, Julie Pernet, doctor of pharmacy, and Camille Lacroix, ex-CFO for an American cosmetics and haircare group. We founded MMM following our personal experience, our postpartum, after which we lost our hair. We wanted to treat the problem of postpartum hair loss in a 100% natural way and provide a 100% natural and 100% effective alternative in pharmacies. This is why we have created 100% natural scalp treatments that treat the problem from the root in a natural and above all 100% effective way, we have carried out clinical studies on the entire range to prove the effectiveness of these treatments against psoriasis, dandruff, hair loss, oily hair, etc.
What does MakeMyMask do?
Take care of the hair at the roots! It is by taking care of the scalp that it is possible to treat hair problems (psoriasis, hair loss, itching, excess sebum, dandruff, eczema, etc.) and to regain beautiful and healthy hair. Drawing on her scientific expertise, Julie Pernet herself developed mask formulas based on plant powders, as well as an online diagnosis allowing everyone to determine their hair profile.
The goal: to provide concrete solutions to different needs through tailor-made care and a selection of personalized ingredients full of powerful active ingredients. In order to ensure the use of raw, natural ingredients, without preservatives and the freshest possible product, the treatments are waterless (without transporting water) with masks dedicated to the scalp to be rehydrated with water from the tap before use.
All combine aloe vera (moisturizing active ingredient), a plant powder (detoxifying active ingredient rich in nutrients), an oil (nourishing active ingredient) as well as an essential oil (fortifying active ingredient). The formulas have been previously developed by the founder and the ingredients are pre-dosed, ready to use.

Why did you raise one million euros?
In one sentence: in order to expand into retail and extend our range.
Why did you choose to bring business angels into your capital?
We needed to grow and therefore funds to grow and implement our treatments in more pharmacies. Business angels are more accessible than funds. We did not yet have the strength and track record sufficient to raise funds. The business angels we contacted are experts in retail, cosmetics and distribution.
