The story of the founders of Kikikickz: Kilian Dris & Adrien Gery
Kilian Dris is the founder of this startup and to understand the history of Kikikickz we have to go back 10 years. In 2013, the teenager was passionate about sneakers, far from the passions of his classmates at the time. A few years later, the young entrepreneur made himself known with the emergence of the Suprême camp outs. One thing led to another, Killian Dris managed to bring together a real community of enthusiasts. Subsequently, the young man received calls from all over the world to find the latest model of fashionable sneakers.
This is how, with four of his friends, he launched his first Kikikickz showroom in the dining room of a Parisian apartment. Since then, the brand has only gained notoriety both in the sneaker world and on social networks.
The other founder, Adrien Gery, has always been passionate about sneakers. He even started with a showroom in his bedroom. Now CEO of the startup which has just been placed in liquidation, he was part of the 2023 selection of 30 Under 30, that is to say the 30 most promising personalities under 30 years old.
Kikikickz always on own funds
Launched with its own funds, the Parisian startup has not yet attracted any investors to its capital. “We are growing quickly, the context is very favorable to our development. And the projects that we are developing for tomorrow will radically enrich the customer’s purchasing experience. We are ready to become the leaders of the European market. » Explained Baptiste Saltiel, one of Kilian Dris’ associates in the columns of FashionNetwork.
The fall of Kikikickz placed in compulsory liquidation
For several days, Kikikickz has been the talk of social networks. Unfortunately, it’s not for the better! In fact, several people complain of not having received their sneakers and of having requested a refund which never arrived. More recently, Internet users shared screenshots of an email received by Kikikickz which mentions a non-payment and placement under legal protection.
The user hourglass69 on TikTok published all his exchanges with the startup which made him wait for almost a month before finally admitting that the buyer would not get his money back, even though customer service had assured that they had sent the refund several days ago. In the email exchange, Kikikickz explains that the main shareholder was in default and that the latter requested protection from the Paris Commercial Court. It indicates that the court ruled on a judicial liquidation on November 14.
