Blank startup raises 47 million euros

Last Friday, the neo-bank Blank announced that it would raise nearly 47 million euros from new investors, starting with Crédit Agricole. We’ll explain everything about the young company’s projects.

Blank, a booming startup

Blank is a neo-bank launched in France in 2020, which has chosen to specialize in freelancers and entrepreneurs, and not just to provide an account management service, but to enrich it with support administrative and financial support for entrepreneurs, which greatly simplifies project launches and business management.

It is probably at least in part to this approach that the company owes its recent growth: human support 7 days a week, automation of payments or insurance services allow Blank to currently count around 2,000 openings of count per day.

The victory is all the more important for Blank as there are more and more independent workers. The sector has seen very strong growth in recent years (+50% in 10 years) and targeting entrants into the entrepreneurial environment is probably the best way to implement any product.

What is the purpose of Blank lifting?

If Blank raises nearly 47 million euros, from companies like Crédit Agricole, it is above all to develop its workforce. Double the number of employees, to increase the number of services offered while making the very strong increase in customers sustainable. The idea is also to develop internationally, more precisely in more European countries. The goal is to launch in Europe even before the end of 2023.

Blank’s revival

The entry of investors seems to be accompanied by a reaffirmed brand identity. Blank presents its new slogan: “ Blank, you deserve to succeed “. The objective is to differentiate itself further, while once again emphasizing the difference in the nature of the bank. “ There is a fundamental difference between the needs of a self-employed worker and those of a larger business of 10, 50 or more people », declared the CEO of the company Simon Parisiot.

While a bank like Crédit Agricole takes more control over the startup, this differentiation may be essential in order to maintain its added value. In any case, it is a safe bet that refocusing on its target while increasing its strike force will allow Blank to take advantage of its multiple assets: an image of dynamism, a multilateral offer and very strong development.
